Duncan Vent is the Restaurant & Catering Association’s current Sommelier of the Year, repeating the accolade he first won in 2008. He is dedicated to helping guests complement their food choices and enjoy new wine experiences from our comprehensive ‘Three Glasses’ accredited wine list (Gourmet Traveller, Australian Restaurant Guide).

He is one of the most respected young men in hospitality, participating in adjudicating The Advertiser ‘Top 100’ wine list and contributing to Vogue Australia’s ‘Ask the Sommelier’ section.

Duncan is a driving force behind our efforts to promote food and wine appreciation, including special degustation dinners. He is dedicated to the development of wine appreciation and his customers’ palates and believes passionately that as food menus develop so too contemporary wine lists also need to improve. “The biggest personal satisfaction I get is from people enjoying wine with their food.”
